Costa Coffee Extends UAE Partnership with Emirates Leisure Retail Until 2040
Costa Coffee and Emirates Leisure Retail extend their UAE franchise partnership until 2040, building on 26 years of collaboration and 160+ stores.
Costa Coffee and Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) have extended their long-term partnership until 2040, reinforcing a collaboration that has continued for more than two decades in the United Arab Emirates.
A Long-Term Franchise Partnership in the UAE
The renewed agreement comes 26 years after Costa Coffee and ELR began working together. Their collaboration dates back to 1999, when the two companies opened the first Costa Coffee franchise store outside the United Kingdom.
Today, the partnership has resulted in more than 160 Costa Coffee stores operating in the UAE. ELR was also recently named International Franchise Partner of the Year at Costa Coffee's International Partner Forum.
Continuing a Partnership Until 2040
The extension of the agreement to 2040 provides a further long-term framework for the collaboration between Costa Coffee and ELR.
Costa Coffee CEO Philippe Schailee highlighted the partnership as an example of what can be achieved through trust, continued innovation and long-term collaboration. ELR CEO Tyrone Reid likewise described Costa Coffee as a trusted partner since 1999 and said the new agreements would allow the companies to continue their collaboration in the UAE.
