Jean Samper (Frankey International)
Director of AfriqueFranchise.com and Frankey International, Jean Samper is a franchise expert who started in franchising about 50 years ago.
Having founded and then sold AC Franchise in France and the Franchise Business Club, Jean Samper is now focused on developing franchising in Africa through:
- Frankey International, whose main activities include training, franchise conferences, and consulting when our listed experts are unable to carry out the mission.
- AfriqueFranchise.com, AfricaFranchise.com, Middleeastfranchise.com and around twenty national websites across Africa and the Middle East, which he now manages alongside their founder, Tarek Yazidi.
His objectives include the development of franchising in Africa and the Middle East, training franchisees and franchisors, as well as educating key professionals who support franchise networks, such as bankers and consultants. The goal is to create the conditions for the success of African and Middle Eastern franchisors, not just to import foreign franchises, which are often necessary to set an example.
AfriqueFranchise.com, AfricaFranchise.com, and MiddleEastFranchise.com, therefore, seek to collaborate with these professionals and support them.
A member of the panel of experts at the French Franchise Federation for 27 years and still a consultant for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s franchise development program in Africa, he has led numerous franchise network support missions and organized training sessions, conferences, and congresses in London, Brussels, Lausanne, Moscow, Bucharest, Budapest, Milan, Madrid, Casablanca, Algiers, Tunis, Mumbai...
He started working in franchising in 1975 with the Prouvost group at Pingouin and Welcome Pernelle (which had 1,850 franchised stores in France and over 3,500 across Europe). After six years in network development and management in France, he created and managed the Northern European subsidiary. In 1989, he founded the consulting firm AC Franchise, invented franchisee recruitment via Minitel in 1993, launched ac.franchise.com in 2002, and created the Franchise Business Club in 2011.
